Jessica Rosen founded One Down Dog in 2014 in Silverlake. She had one mission in mind, to share yoga with others – as a means to elevate, educate, support and inspire those I teach to be true to themselves, have more fun and fulfill their wildest dreams.
The ODD staff initially started with a few classes in a studio where they rented space, and a year later opened their flagship location down the street on Sunset. One Down Dog was founded on bringing together community and providing fun, freeing, unpretentious yoga to the east side of LA. Their staff and teachers KNOW the students, and coin themselves as ‘The studio where everybody knows your name.’
What’s great about ODD is that there is a class for everyone – they offer flow, a signature sweat class (think loud music and cardio bursts), chill, restorative, family classes, pre-natal, baby & me, and a lot more. They even have an additional studio in Eagle Rock and are in negotiations on a third space. They have proven that if your intentions are in the right place, the universe will always work for you, not against you.
The studio has such a vibrant and aesthetically pleasing appeal. Amazing artwork on the walls which brings the city to your practice. It is spacious and has plenty of room for plenty of yogis to tap into their own personal flow. Your soul comes alive walking into the studio, creating an overwhelming desire to never leave.
If you have not had the privilege of partaking in an epic class here at One Down Dog Yoga studio, you have not lived…
